Schnitzer based tromba - end 16th century

TECHNICAL DATA:

Handmade 8ft natural trumpet based on the sources and building tradition of the Neurenberger instrumentmaker Anton Schnitzer.

Length: 732 mm

Bell diameter: 104 mm

Diapason: D - 415 Hz 

A deep mouthpiece, combined with the long conical bell, results in a dark rounded sound with a full range of audible overtones. This gives the trumpet a very suitable character for fanfare signal and intrata playing.

Ferrules and ball in massive casted alloy, finished on the lath.

Garland decorated with a builders signature based on the ornaments of the old masters.

Darkblue cordbinding and wooden block signed with a burned buildersseal. 

Darkblue tassel with a solomons knot shell in silver wire.
